What if our true beauty lies in the acceptance of our beautiful flaws and odd perspectives?
A breakdown of our ninth curated experience with Barcelona-based multidisciplinary artist Violetta, discussing the fluidity of perceptions. The evening showcased Violetta's drawings and included an interactive live drawing class, along with an unconventional food installation.

Our curated experiences revolve around the idea of artistically translating a theme in every aspect of the evening, from the creative direction, the food, to the interactions with the food. The goal of these experiences is always to shed some light on relevant topics in a creative manner by providing a well-rounded and holistic experience as a creative studio and by bringing people together. Always wanting to push the boundaries of art direction by amalgamating multiple different fields of art in one gathering, our ninth curated experience was with the Barcelona based Multi Disciplinary Artist, Violetta at Charles and Charlotte GmbH

The THEME :
The theme, 'Fluidity of Perceptions,' centered on embracing the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of art while advocating for individuality. This theme became a captivating exploration, engaging the audience's imagination and fostering introspection. At its core, the theme championed a more flexible perception of art, challenging the notion that its meaning is fixed. We celebrated the diverse interpretations of art, recognizing its role in shaping a dynamic narrative.
Exploring the subjectivity of perception, the theme highlighted how a single artwork could generate various interpretations. This exploration stood out in contrast to today's rigid world, providing space for diverse perspectives and fostering a more nuanced understanding of artistic expression. In embracing these varied viewpoints, it advocated for accepting our imperfections.

The EXPERIENCE : A Dynamic Live Drawing Class
In a conventional live drawing class, the model usually maintains her pose for anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes. However, we sought to inject an element of surprise and creativity by hosting a highly dynamic live drawing class featuring a model dressed in flowers and food. The model changed poses every 3 minutes during the session, creating a lively and spontaneous artistic atmosphere that lasted for a total of 12 minutes.
To make the experience more enjoyable and liberating, we let the audience take charge and discuss the theme further. Complete agency was given to participants to position themselves and exercise complete liberty in choosing their tools to captivate the subject. This approach aimed to break away from the constraints of traditional drawing classes, fostering an environment where creativity knew no bounds, and artistic expression was as diverse as the individuals participating.

Why? In such a dynamic live drawing class, the rapid pace and unpredictability of the model's poses encourage artists to embrace their instinctual reactions and let their creativity flow without overthinking. This process, lasting 12 minutes with 3-minute poses, leads to unique and emotionally charged artworks resonating with the energy of the moment. The emphasis is on faster responses, revealing authentic thoughts through the concept of 'intuition' or 'gut feelings.' Having less time to consciously think allows for more honest, reflective expressions, rooted in subconscious understanding.

The dynamism of the event also leaves less room for social masking, providing artists with the freedom to draw without conforming to the audience's expectations or adhering to aesthetically pleasing standards. There is no right or wrong. The tight time frame to capture each pose shifts the focus away from the perfection of expression to embracing imperfections.
Incorporating food and flowers as a prop in this dynamic drawing class heightens artists' instincts. Food and flowers, a sensory stimuli, sparks spontaneous, emotional responses, prompting artists to create authentic, emotionally charged artwork.

The ART :
Violetta's art is a vibrant emotional journey, immersing you in an imaginary world within yourself. With dreamy, bright colors and mysterious scenes, it's like a mirror to your feelings, evoking unexpected thoughts and interpretations. Rather than dictating a defined story, it invites you to create your narrative through introspection—a complete adventure that reveals hidden emotions and ideas.

The FOOD INSTALLATION AND DECOR :
Purple, symbolic of individuality, took center stage as we infused it into both the decor and the food installation.
To echo the artist's goal of fostering versatility through her art pieces, we ingeniously employed copies of her artwork to craft everyday use objects. The tablecloth of the food installation, the plates, candle stands, and vases became canvases for the artist's work, metaphorically illustrating the inherent versatility of art.
Guests were invited to witness the transformative power of art, not just on canvas but in their immediate surroundings, emphasizing the theme's core message of embracing fluidity and individuality in every aspect of the creative journey.

The event was further experienced through interactions, discussions, exploration of the installation, sampling various wines from Nature's Calling, and dancing to the music of Cinnamon Spice
