Refamiliarize your senses in a different light
By definition "Art direction brings clarity and definition to our work; it helps our work convey a specific message to a particular group of people. Art direction combines art and design to evoke a cultural and emotional reaction. It influences just about anything we interact with."
Exploring different mediums of expression, we want art direction to be our primary language of communication, be it via tangible or intangible mediums. Our latest collaboration with Candle Concert harps on one such tangible medium, to provide art direction support for the decor and execution of their latest event.
Candle Concert is an initiative by two young entrepreneurs to promote local artists from Barcelona and create magical moments with candles, amid the redefinition of "The New Normal". It is a unique music and arts experience for private homes, your favorite bar, or any special place you can imagine. An artsy interpretation of "The New Normal" - candle concert wants to encourage, re-socialize, and re-animate people to get together. To create a community that appreciates music and other forms of art. Candle concert sows seeds of hope and happiness during these strange times.
The objectives of the existence of both, Two Odd and Candle Concert coincided and that has been the biggest driving factor for this collaboration. At Two Odd we advocate for the versatility that art direction brings across different mediums and platforms. The objective is to create a huge community of creatives to showcase their work and encourage them to create more art freely, that's exactly what Candle Concert is doing with their live events. The collaboration has led to a beautiful experience in all senses.
Keeping minimalism as the focal point of the decor, the goal is to complement every performer at this intimate concert and the beautiful location of Pachuli, an Interior & Lifestyle Concept store. The flowers, paper lanterns, and clear vases were minimal in every aspect, with white and grey being the dominant hues. The paper lanterns were handwritten with the lyrics of the songs played at this gathering, making it personal and interactive with the audience.
