Let go of the strings, let the balloons dance in the wind.

A concept that is gaining popularity as we continue to strive in a world of uncertainty, here is our take on Letting Go

To let go is to stop holding onto something. To let something slip between our fingers and not worry about where it lands. Many times though, we may be unable to accomplish this. We may try to lengthen the surface area of our hands through art and jewels to extend a little further and hold onto something a little longer. But the more we carry, the less we see ourselves. If we are always gripping our hands around the strings that ground us, we will never experience how beautiful balloons look while dancing in the wind, or the feeling of weightlessness after carrying something heavy for too long.

To really let go, becomes less about the object or environment and more about how we see ourselves. Perhaps instead of asking how we let go we may ask ourselves what we are holding on to? Is it hope? Is it fear? Is it familiarity?

I consider us all to be artists. There isn’t a day that goes by where one is not impacted by or creating art in some way, whether through food, paint, landscape, textiles or even drawing shapes in the sand. We all have a driving force inside of us to create something beyond ourselves. Now, imagine if that was never given to us. If our inspiration was withheld from us because it was never let go from its source. Think about how few things we could interact with in the world. This is the beauty of letting go.

When we realize that things or people or ideas were never ours to hold onto because that would only restrict the virtues they could offer. When we see that things flourish when given freedom over constraint, we start to notice that in the world around us, and subsequently, we start to notice it within ourselves too. When we come to understand that the fear of letting go and giving in to the unknown is worse than the weight of the fears we are holding, we are truly liberated.
